The Emerging Recordkeeping Issues Special Interest Group was established to discuss recordkeeping issues of national relevance, excluding the scope of issues under the terms of reference of other CAARA Working Groups.

CAARA will frame a workplan identifying the issues to be considered by the group and will stipulate a timeframe within this. The Special Interest Group may also suggest topics for discussion to CAARA.

In considering an issue the Special Interest Group is to share and leverage information and expertise from across the group and determine or recommend actions or initiatives to be considered further by CAARA.

The Special Interest Group, through its discussions, will also alert CAARA to any matters of significance or relevance that may require further attention.
